St Paul's Lutheran Primary School offers excellent sporting opportunities for all students. Students have a higher chance to compete at district and state levels in a variety of sporting areas, than most other schools.
Unlike other Primary Schools, St Paul's involves all students from K to Year 6 in annual Athletics, Swimming and Cross-Country
carnivals. Students with the best results in Years 3 to 6, are selected from these carnivals to participate at district carnivals (RAS) and if successful to move to state competitions.
* Students have the opportunity to try out for state teams in a wide variety of sports through the Combined Independent Schools Association. Sports undertaken at state level by students in 2018 so far include: Tennis, Netball, AFL, Swimming, Orienteering, Cross Country and Athletics. Students who attend state level sporting are offered a monetary contribution towards costs.
Each December and February all grades participate in swimming lessons at the Henty Swimming Pool under trained teacher instruction.
Students engage in team sports and skill development each week during sporting lessons. Many generous parents support the students by offering their skills to various sporting activities and participate in lunch time games.
